Pokémon GO Fest & Back to school

On August 23–24, 2025, Flash Forward Creative partnered with The Streets of Tanasbourne to launch a Back-to-School Pokémon-inspired community event designed to bring families together, spark excitement ahead of the school year, and drive meaningful engagement across the property. This activation marked the center’s first-ever collaboration with a Pokémon community, introducing a new level of interactive programming to complement the center’s past back-to-school initiatives.

Event Objectives

• Create a fun, family-focused Back-to-School experience

• Encourage guests to explore the center and participating retailers

• Strengthen community engagement and energy onsite

• Support retailers through experience-driven visibility and interaction

Event Experience & Participation

Families enjoyed Pokémon-inspired themed engagement across the center, visiting retailers and participating in event activities while experiencing a lively community atmosphere. One of the highlight moments of the weekend included approximately 226 guests gathered around the fountain area, showcasing the energy, excitement, and reach of the event. To further build interest leading up to the activation, Flash Forward Creative created a themed Pokémon video that helped generate buzz and anticipation.

To build a full event atmosphere, the weekend also included a food truck, live DJ, balloon artist, and face painter, creating additional interactive touchpoints and family fun throughout the property. These elements helped extend dwell time and contributed to a vibrant, energetic event experience.

Key participation highlights include:

• 46 raffle prize entries submitted

• 20 participating retailers

• Collaboration with a Pokémon community group of 1,000+ members

Raffle Engagement & Prizes

To boost engagement, guests were invited to enter raffle giveaways by following, liking, and commenting on event posts. With prizes including a Nintendo Switch 2 and retailer gift cards, excitement remained high and participation was strongly motivated throughout the event.

Digital Impact & Marketing Results

The event generated strong digital engagement throughout the week, including:

• 14,000+ total social media views during event week

• 1,481.8 average views per post

• 55.6 average likes per post

• 39 new social media followers gained

These results highlight continued momentum in community interest and demonstrate how experiential events can successfully support both onsite and digital engagement for the property.

Phone charging stations were provided for trainers.

The station was located at the Plaza PokéStop and provided much needed shade in the August heat.

Flash Forward Creative Support

Flash Forward Creative led event strategy, Pokémon community partnership engagement, retailer coordination, promotional content creation, on-site execution, and post-event performance reporting to ensure the event was not only fun, but meaningful and effective.

Flash Forward Creative was also onsite on the day of the event to oversee activation, support retailers, manage logistics, and ensure a smooth and successful guest experience.
